WEEK OF MARCH 18: ARIES INGRESS/FULL MOON IN LIBRA

Spring Beauty by Viktor Mikhaylovich Vasnetsov 1885

Only 2 more days before the Sun enters the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries signalling the beginning of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere.

Upon entering Aries, the Sun will almost immediately start opposing the Moon in Libra. Late Wednesday night, the powerful rays of the Sun will illuminate the Moon creating a dramatic landscape to celebrate the first night of Spring.
The Full Moon in Libra will be exact Wednesday night at 21:43 EDT and casts a bright light on the tension created by our inner and outer dualities. Partnerships will come to the forefront this week as freedom versus commitment battle for attention.

In Aries, the Sun shines willfully and illuminates a desire for independence and sovereignty. However, the Full Moon in Libra brings attention to the agreements and contracts that must be respected and the compromises that must be made in order to continue on a peaceful path and reach our aim. Dynamics within our relationships need to be weighed out in order to understand the exchange of powers and to make sure they are equal. The ”give and take” required and the compromises made by both parties will need to be revised. Inequalities that have become problematic or that are reaching a saturation points will need to be dealt with. The Full Moon in Libra highlights a need to recalibrate. This process can happen peacefully as long as both parties are willing to dialogue. Anything that feels unfair will most likely become very apparent this week and will need to be addressed.

Since the Sun conjunct Chiron at the moment of the Full Moon and the following day, it is likely to highlight where we feel most vulnerable and raw right now. Chiron is associated with woundedness and pain which in turn brings much knowledge and wisdom. Chiron is beginning its journey through Aries which will bring remedies and healing opportunities in regards to our ego, our identity, the masculine or yang qualities, our libido, our sense of power and potency in the world. Its important to be honest about our vulnerabilities during this process so that we find the proper medicine. A good opportunity to swallow the bitter herbs as “good medicine always tastes bitter.”

*Look at where Aries and Libra sits in your chart to zoom in on where these dynamics are more likely to play out in your life.

Wishing you a joyful and fruitful Aries season🔥

WEEK OF MARCH 11, 2019: REVELATION

“The Portuguese call it saudade: a longing for something so indefinite as to be indefinable.
Love affairs, miseries of life, the way things were, people already dead, those who left and the ocean that tossed them on the shores of a different land
all things born of the soul that can only be felt.”
Anthony De Sa

We are moving through changing tides and this week continues to bring revelations and dreams that fertilizes our future.

The Moon is moving towards her first quarter square and we can feel the building momentum of this highly mutable season. Moving through the end of the zodiac, we take stock of our lives, we dream, we fantasize and we hope as the winds of change are blowing.

Can you feel the stirring under your feet, under the Earth? Can you feel the butterflies awakening a sharp longing within you? Like you have been summoned by an invisible force to push beyond your comfort zone and reach for the sublime. Senses are magnified and the sap that runs through your veins is rushing to awaken you. Possessed by a new vision that will revitalize your spirit, can you hear the distant calling of possibilities?
Uranus is now officially in Taurus until 2025, signalling a totally new awareness being birthed.
 ・
For the next few weeks, Mercury retrograde in Pisces is creating a sort of timeless space that allows us to sit with our new awareness and even maybe, perceive a glimpse of what is to come. Perhaps, this is an unusual way to look at things for some of you, but the month of March can be very fruitful if you are willing to sit with the new emotions that are arising as they are indicators of things to come.
Mercury retrograde in Pisces can also generate confusion or distort what is in front of you, creating fantasy that would not sustain a long exposure to daylight. Dreams are lingering throughout the day and things could feel unclear or even scattered if you are not use to taking detours. The time for stoic commitments and pragmatism will come soon enough. Take advantage of this next week to bask in the romantic glow of your longings, allow yourself to get lost along the way.
Find inspiration in your day-dreaming as this is where the fire is burning right now, but remember that in the end you will need to discriminate between what was mere fantasy and what was vision.

The biggest event this week happens Thursday night at 21:48 EST with Mercury entering the heart of the Sun. Sitting on the Solar throne, Mercury Cazimi offers revelations and clarity. The Cazimi lasts about 2.5 hours either side of the hour and represent the halfway point in Mercury’s retrograde cycle. Since Mercury squares Jupiter at the time of the Cazimi, the revelations and incoming messages might have something to do with fate and the bigger patterns in your life. This small window can offer solution, answers, revelations and incoming messages that can help you especially in matters of the House where Jupiter rules in your chart.

We are moving through deep and important times right now.
Some things have become too heavy to bear. Sacrifices are taking on a whole new meaning. The burdens we have chosen in the past might not be right for us anymore; freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose.

Get lost and find your flow. Week of March 4, 2019

This week, we have Mercury stationing retrograde on Tuesday at  1:17pm EST. Mercury is retrograde for most of the month of March and even though there is no need to freak out about Mercury retrograde periods (since it happens 3 times a year), this one will be particularly ”foggy” as it is happening in Pisces (the sign of Mercury’s detriment) and Neptune will be quite active all month. Chances of missing important details increases and so are the chances of getting distracted. This month will be excellent for creative flow without too many rigid structures.

Wednesday, Uranus officially enters the sign of Taurus signalling a new era of technology, innovations, and breaking away from the status quo. Think back on how far you have come since 2011 to now (the time it took Uranus to travel through the sign of Aries) and how in may ways, you are starting a new chapter that is taking you further and further away from the person you were 8 years ago. Uranus ingress into an Earth sign can also bring some surprises this week; expect the unexpected.

Wednesday afternoon, a New Moon in Pisces will conjunct Neptune. This week is filled with impression and hunches as we get lured by half conscious visions of our hopes for the future. A New Moon signals the beginning of the Lunar Month. The seeds and intentions planted at this time will become visible around the Full Moon in Libra on the 21st of March. What is being fertilized/conceptualized at this time for you? Look at the House where Pisces sits in your birth chart for clues of where confusion and inspiration are likely to show their faces for you.

Thursday, the Sun conjunct Neptune; the fog machine is turn on high as we slip between fantasy, irrational fears, and wishful thinking. Neptune dissolves the shapes and boundaries of hard materialism. Is it all there is to reality? Or is something bigger at work here? Neptune gives a desire for transcendence; it makes us want to believe that there is more than meet the eyes. Neptune is the muse or the ghost. Neptune at its worst can turn the anxiety on high as we feel riddled with ungraspable fears, something just beyond our conscious awareness. Pisces season can also be a time of empathy, compassion, confusion or sadness as we can feel more vividly the pain of the world. A good season for generosity and compassion.

On a mundane level, ”fake news” will surely be a big thing this month so be careful about the information you ingest and be discerning! When possible, it’s a good time to tune out and practice meditation, mindfulness or simply go out in nature to bring you back to centre.

Have and excellent week and enjoy those Piscean Waters!

FULL MOON IN VIRGO

Painting by Frida Kahlo

“The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind.”
 Caroline Myss

The Moon is in Leo to begin the week and will be Full upon entering Virgo, Tuesday morning at 10:54am ET.

This is a a very auspicious Full Moon as it will conjunct Fixed Star Regulus at zero degrees of Virgo. This Full Moon illuminates issues around criticism versus self-acceptance and perhaps where in our lives we need to heal, feel whole finding a more holistic approach in our overall routine, patterns, physical, mental and spiritual habits.

This Full Moon illuminates, magnify, cleanse, purify our comprehension of what it means to heal; understanding that to be useful, to know our place, and to find purpose, one must first be of service to their body which is the temple and vehicle of the spirit.

Understanding also that to be useful, to know our place, and to find purpose, one must be of service to to this Earth which provides sustenance and gives us food which feeds our body.

Mercury joins Neptune to begin the week and this is the first of 3 conjunction (because of Mercury retrograde). Next ones will be on the 24th of March and the 3rd of April.

Pay attention to clues revealed this week around poison and toxicity. Weather this is something you are ingesting, a guilty pleasure, a mental habit, a place, or a draining person, this aspect combined with the Full Moon could reveal to you some of your posions…..what is poisoning you.

Chiron also just entered Aries to begin the week (at 4:09 ET) after being in Pisces since 2010. This is a major shift as Chiron is associated with pain, healing and where we feel vulnerable and raw.
Some self-undoing habits or patterns might become super obvious to you (if not already), and with Chiron (the great healer and teacher) changing signs, priorities will really start shifting.

Look to where Aries sit in your chart to understand where this will be taking place. Chiron entering the Cardinal sign of Aries will most affect people with important Cardinal planets (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn)

Have a wholesome and healing Full Moon, enjoy the changing tides.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 11, 2019

FIRST HALF OF THE WEEK FROM MONDAY TO THURSDAY:

The big aspect permeating the first part of the week is the Mars-Uranus conjunction happening on Wednesday in the sign of Aries.

Mars: Libido, courage, assertion, will-power, anger.
Uranus: Breakthroughs, breakdowns, revolutions, liberations, rebellions, innovations.

When 2 planets are together their meaning tend to fuse for the duration of the conjunction.

Uranus is currently on the last degree of Aries and won’t be back in Aries for 84 years. Uranus enters Taurus on March 6th signalling the beginning of a new cycle. This week could bring some great insights into the last decade and how far you have come. Think back of the unexpected changes that took place in your life since 2010 and how it has informed the last 10 years.

The Mars-Uranus conjunction is not great for trying to stabilize dysfunctional structures, systems, relationships but its excellent to revolutionize them. Mars and Uranus together brings intensity and the desire for freedom.

Innovative ideas and flashes of insights are floating around but they might not come from where you expect them. Imagine a highly volatile current running through the first part of the week. Where you decide to ”plug-in” could determine some of your experience. Technology and innovations are highlighted.

Since we are talking about a highly volatile aspect, its important to keep in mind that this could also show up as unexpected breakdowns and turn of events. Be mindful when driving and stay away from dramatic people as things could escalate quicker than usual. There might also be some weird funky stuff happening around technology, and written or spoken communication.

If you have felt restricted or limited in some ways, the next couple of days could bring a culmination, breakthrough and liberation in these regards.

This is a ”bridge” week so just keep moving forward, keep an open mind and roll with it. There is no turning back!

This week begins with the first quarter Moon in Taurus and it’s a good time to power through some of the ideas and projects that were initiated at the beginning of the month. Monday morning, Venus in Capricorn lends a supportive trine to the Moon and the next two days can be spent plowing away at mundane tasks. The emphasis of planet in Earth signs to begin the week helps us plan and organise our week and brings attention to the physical side of our lives. The Moon enters Gemini on Wednesday morning and you might want to lay off the coffee and do some work with your hands to remediate tension.

Mercury just entered the sign of Pisces on Sunday, and will remain here for the next 2 months. Mercury will retrograde in Pisces March 5 to March 28 but you might already start noticing some of the effect of Mercury being in Pisces.

Pisces tends to diffuse and confuse the Mercury functions (thinking, communication). It might be harder to communicate clearly and efficiently during this time but the next 2 months highlights a period of unruly creative and intuitive flow.

WEEK OF JANUARY 7, 2019

Happy Monday everyone,

This week, we stand in the reverberations of the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Capricorn that happened Saturday night which is initiating new trajectories for us.

The area of your chart where Capricorn rules will be undergoing major renovations in the next 2 years. If you have any planets around 15 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer and more extensively Aries or Libra, you can expect to be significantly influenced by the deconstructive qualities of what is happening in Capricorn.

Time, aging, maturity and wisdom through hardship, solitude, melancholia, depression, the limits of our world and generational burdens were all highlighted by the first New Moon/Eclipse of 2019.

Uranus also turned direct in Aries Sunday night which means all the planets are currently direct and Venus just entered the sign of Sagittarius after being in Scorpio for like EVER.

Most of the planets are either in Earth (pragmatism) or Fire (ambition) signs which also means we are itching to get going, make things happened, get on with business and to start slaying our goals for the year ahead.

Mercury in Capricorn square Mars in Aries

The other big aspects permeating the week will be Mercury squaring Mars (exact Tuesday) and the Sun/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn (exact Friday) which augurs some sort of ”heavier than usual” power dynamics influencing the week.

Mercury in Capricorn🔨 squaring Mars in Aries🔥which is exact Tuesday morning can be productive but it can also be a sign of irritability and impatience. If you get into an argument, be prepared for it to escalate quicker than usual as this can indicate a tendency to say think without thinking before hand. It can also indicate a tendency for rushed decision-making or impulsivity.

Perhaps one of the best way to remediate this influence at the beginning of the week could be to have a brainstorming session, think twice before saying or doing something you might regret and or release the tension through physical exercise.

Emergence: Sun/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn

The Sun/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn happening Friday morning happens once a year. Pluto being associated with the underworld and what is hidden gets the full light of the Sun shinning down on him. Pluto is associated with the powers of creation and destruction. He is the guardian of the unconscious. It can be very difficult to bring dark things up into the light and this is why Pluto is often associated with painful transformative experiences.

Revelations of dark secrets, becoming aware of something that had remained hidden, ancestral stories and family dynamics, power dynamic or manipulative tactics become more obvious. Obsession, intensity, control, generational trauma are brought to the surface.

It’s a good time to connect to the source of your ambitions or the source of the stories you tell yourself about your limits, your burdens, your fears to understand where they originate from, and make them more conscious so that you are not controlled by them.

🛑 Special Attention: All day Friday, the Moon will be in Pisces and void of course. If you have important decisions or appointments to make, better book them before Friday or after Friday. As a rule of thumb the void of course Moon means that ”nothing comes out of the matter”. Decision made during this time have a harder time sticking.

Have a wonderful and fulfilling week everyone!

Mercury in Scorpio

Mercury just entered the sign of Scorpio early this morning and will conjunct Jupiter on Wednesday October 18, 2017.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen

If you are the dealer
I’m out of the game
If you are the healer
I’m broken and lame
If thine is the glory
Then mine must be the shame
You want it darker
We kill the flame

Magnified and sanctified
Be Thy Holy Name
Vilified and crucified
In the human frame
A million candles burning
For the help that never came
You want it darker
We kill the flame

Hineni Hineni
I’m ready, my Lord

There’s a lover in the story
But the story is still the same
There’s an lullaby for suffering
And a paradox to blame
But it’s written in the scriptures
And it’s not some idle claim
You want it darker
We kill the flame

They’re lining up the prisoners now
The guards are taking aim
I struggled with some demons
They were middle-class and tame
Didn’t know I had permission
To murder and to maim
You want it darker
We kill the flame

Hineni Hineni
I’m ready, my Lord

Magnified and sanctified
Be Thy Holy Name
Vilified and crucified
In the human frame
A million candles burning
For the love that never came
You want it darker
We kill the flame

If you are the dealer
I’m out of the game
If you are the healer
I’m broken and lame
If thine is the glory
Then mine must be the shame
You want it darker
We kill the flame

Hineni Hineni
I’m ready, my Lord

LIBRA/LIBRA RISING ♎︎

For the last year Libra, you have been blessed by the transit of Jupiter in your sign. Of course, not everything was smooth sailing, but the planet most often associated with expansion and luck has been sitting in your sign since September 2016. You have benefited from opportunities to broaden your mind, and perhaps this has helped you open to new possibilities. It could also mean that this last year has seen you imbued with greater courage to step outside of your comfort zone physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In some shape and form, this last year has given you new pathways to explore and the courage to say YES more often. Jupiter will leave your sign on October 10th for a year-long transit in the sign of Scorpio. This means that you have 10 more days to give thanks to the guru planet. Find a moment to reflect on the positive advancements and opportunities of the last year. Gratitude and a flexible mind are the blessings of Jupiter; think about where you have benefited from adopting a positive attitude and what opportunities arose from saying yes more often.

Partnership will be a big theme in October and the obligations and commitments made to others are highlighted. The Full Moon in Aries on October 5th accentuates the dichotomy of your needs versus the needs of other people in your life which is so inherent to your sign. You could be in need of a more solid demonstration of love from a partner, or it could be that someone else requires this from you. Overall, the first week of October has a sobering effect and you will have to attend to the unpleasant details of a partnership while simultaneously craving ease and pleasure.

Venus, your ruling planet, moves into your sign on October 14 and this will help smooth out the hard edges.  However, October remains a dynamic period for Libras. The New Moon in your sign on October 19 will be opposed to the revolutionary planet Uranus. A New Moon is the beginning of a new cycle; a time when seeds are planted. This particular New Moon in Libra is your personal reset button. This is an opportunity to break free from old habitual patterns, especially the ones connected to partnerships. Something could be pushing you to radically change your course of action or discard what is stale in your life. Whether this is coming from you, or pushed upon you, remains to be seen but there are a few things you can do to maximize the insights and minimize the surprises. Air out your assumptions about relationships and be honest about what belongs to you and what is not your problem. Accept and recognize what is no longer working in your life and find pro-active solutions to remediate your discontent. Cultivate a state of honesty with yourself and others to ensure a solid foundation on which healthy relationships can flourish.

SCORPIO/SCORPIO RISING
♏︎

When I peer into your future Scorpio, I see a strong desire for regenerating adventures, and also more opportunities to do so. In order for you to tune in to the synchronicities that will help you establish new pathways, you must first clean the many assumptions cluttering your mind. Some of these assumptions could be connected to comfort, relationships and an uncontrollable desire to merge. I think you know what I am talking about. In the last year, you have slowly realized that your desire for intimacy locks you in a sort of self-defeating trance. Upon entering a relationship, part of you is on hold, on a shelf, and out of reach while you preoccupy yourself with the woes of your lover. This is quite admirable, but it is also becoming quite obvious that your happiness suffers as a result. Deconstructing your relationship patterns should serve you well this month. It won’t solve everything, but illuminating your relationship mechanics will help you control your impulses a little bit better. Remember that not everything is set in stone; see where you are adopting a fatalistic attitude that keeps you locked in. You have the power to dislodged these old rusty wheels and change your gears. The first step will be to connect with the uglier truth hiding behind your relationship habits. Half the battle will be to establish contact with your fears and to temper your impulses to merge.

On October 10, Jupiter, the planet of joy and abundance, moves into your waters for a whole year. Jupiter is closely linked to the ability of generating fortune and luck in our lives. This means that you have an entire year to change your attitude in regards to what you think you deserve. How deserving do you feel and what is your relationship to wealth? Cultivating an attitude of openness and gratitude is a well-known hack to multiply your blessings. What does gratitude and contentment mean to you? Can you see the bigger picture in your current limitations and extract the silver lining? Is there a way you can create more space for new opportunities to flow into your life? Don’t stress too much about getting it right all at once; you will have a whole year to play with these ideas. Being an optimist is a lot of work and it doesn’t necessarily come naturally to Scorpios, but this year will show you how.

The New Moon in Libra on October 19 invites you to air out your closet and make space for the new cycle of growth that is about to begin for you. Perhaps this involves letting go of burdensome responsibilities that are not yours to begin with. Be honest about self-defeating habits that are hampering your capacity to reach higher grounds. What aspects of your routine are you ready to let go of and what new practices are you ready to integrate? What does positive intensity mean to you? Can you find ways to feed your spirit the excitement that it craves without becoming self-destructive? Set your sights on mountain peeks.

SAGITTARIUS/SAGITTARIUS RISING
♐︎

After spending a whole year in the sign of Libra, your ruler Jupiter is about to move into the deep waters of Scorpio on October 11th. To better understand what this means for you and how it applies to your life, think about how much you have grown-up in regards to relating in the last year. Jupiter in Libra has been your mentor when it comes to smoothing out your relationships and teaching you how to be more diplomatic in your dealings. Reflect on the ways you have matured and grown when it comes to your interactions. Think about how far you have come in regards to commitments and your ability to fulfill your responsibilities in certain agreements. Now that you are better at the art of relating, Jupiter in Scorpio will serve to deepen your understanding in the mysteries of intimacy. Passion and hunger are a few words you will get acquainted with in the next year. Jupiter in Scorpio should help you get in touch with the ways you relate to power; your own but also the power dynamics that are woven behind most interactions. Sagittarius folks are known for their optimism, as well as their ability to see the big picture; you can usually glide through complex dilemmas with candid humor.

With your ruler moving into the sign of Scorpio you will be asked to get in touch with the more unpleasant sides of your nature and get familiar with your poisons. You have a whole year to do so; take your time. Working with poisons require careful dosage as too much all at once can be lethal so start with a small amount.  In order to pursue the important partnerships in your life, you will be asked to come clean about certain psychological hang-ups or addictions. Getting familiar with the monsters might seem like a big hassle, but this will unfold naturally. There is no need to ignore that process and it will get easier as you progress through the hidden corridors of your psyche. What unravels you will become your strength if you participate actively and honestly in the teasing out of your shadow.

The New Moon in Libra on October 19th should bring some recognition for your contributions in your community. You should start to see tangible results for the hard work you have done in the last few years. You can be proud of the considerable efforts it took to be where you are. Your dedication could bring you in a position of authority where you are asked to speak or teach what you know. Of course, with power comes great responsibility and this could also be part of the equation this month. I don’t think you need to shy away from those responsibilities as you are in a phase of your life where you can handle the work-load. People want your expertise more than ever, so get out there and show them what you are capable of doing.

CAPRICORN/CAPRICORN RISING
♑︎

The month of October begins with a Full Moon in Aries on the 5th, which illuminates your home base and your private domain. You could be itching to bring some much-needed changes to your living situation and this could mean renovating or relocating. If this is not a realistic goal for now, you could find pleasure in pursuing a small project or exploring a new subject. Step away from your routine and take the road less travel to find new inspiration.

Relationships will be a big theme for everyone this month; especially for you Capricorn. The astrology of October supports your collaborations and you should not shy away from teaming up with others. You could learn a lot from associating your talents with others; especially if this can give you tangible results. You might also find that some partnerships are requiring too much sacrifice. The burdens, responsibilities or demands of a partner could weigh heavy on your mind. The first part of the month will be spent sorting through your agreements with others to find a happy compromise. Do the work that is required to keep the peace; setting your boundaries where they are needed while staying flexible and receptive to what others are demanding from you. Power struggles are a possible especially in the second week of October. Watch for the areas of your life where tension is building up and defuse them before things get out of hand. A lot of the problems this month will come from setting unrealistic standards or being hyper-critical. Quality does not necessarily mean perfection; discriminate between what is possible and what might be out of reach for the moment. Combining your desire for excellence and your pragmatism will help you succeed.

Pleasure can be found in social events in the second half of the month. If you were thinking of joining a class, a club or participate more actively in your community, October should boost your confidence. Networking could bring interesting opportunities so jump on the invitations to do so. Take advantage of the current momentum to put yourself out there. The New Moon in Libra on October 19th is your cue to reset your stance in your work or career. You will need to find the delicate balance between your own projects and fulfilling your other obligations. Putting the extra effort needed to smooth out your partnerships will help you get what you want out of them. You might be surprised at the feedback you get from leaving your stoicism at the door, and for and communicating openly about your needs. Showing vulnerability is definitely not your strong point but speaking honestly will make others more receptive to what you are trying to convey. People will appreciate your integrity and your interactions should benefit from it. Overall, this time of the year is always a busy one for you and you should feel more inclined to go out and connect. Take advantage of October to put your diplomatic skills to work!

AQUARIUS/AQUARIUS RISING
♒︎

There has been a lot of changes in the air in the recent months for you, Aquarius, and some of those changes came out of left field. Of course, you have dealt with these changes like a master improvisator, and you have worked well with the curve balls that were thrown at you. Unforeseen circumstances have shifted your perspective, and you have been questioning or re-envisioning what it is that you want for yourself. It could be that the shoe does not fit anymore, or that the trajectory you were walking is not leading you where you thought you wanted to be. Something is shifting and that is totally ok. Let the chips fall where they may.

Partnerships of all kind have a big role to play in your current state of mind, and October will be no exception. Being involved with others always bring some form of complication, and sometime we have to ask ourselves if it is worth the trouble. The sign of Aquarius is known for being mostly rational, or at least cool-headed in emotional situations. Decisions are usually based in connection to your own personal projects, and rarely do you make drastic moves on behalf of other people that prefer a slow approach to commitments. The Full Moon in Aries on October 5th is highlighting the polarity between your immediate surroundings and the promises of something distant and exotic. This polarity could also have something to do with an important partnership, and you could feel divided between the requirements of your current living arrangement and the desire for something out of your reach. Either way you put it, you will have to sort out your commitments to others this month.

Much can come from staying receptive to what other people are asking from you. You might also be surprised at how much pleasure you will derive from your partnerships. Let go of the rigid expectations you have for yourself and your agenda, and be flexible to what someone is offering at this time.

The New Moon in Libra on the 19th is your cue to heed to the call of a distant siren. Combining travel and education could be a great way to do this but good planning will be essential. It could also be that a love interest is on the horizon, but not immediately realistic. You will most likely have to tie many loose ends and delegate some of your responsibilities before it’s all said and done. This New Moon in Libra is also prompting you to reflect on the state of your relationships and the way you handle them. The current Eclipse cycle on the Leo/Aquarius axis is subtly weaving your destiny with the destiny of others and these stories will continue well into 2018. This month will show you who are the players in this thread, and what requirements are needed to maintain these relationships going. Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love.

PISCES/PISCES RISING
♓︎

The month of October begins with a Full Moon in Aries on the 5th, which illuminates the resources available to you right now. It could be that a compromise will be needed to be reached between what is yours and what belongs to someone else. You might also need to rely on other people more than you would like, and your need for independence will be aroused. You are in the midst of finding the right balance between your personal authority while fulfilling your duties within a partnership. Communication is key, so do not shy away from stating your needs and this will help both parties find a fair arrangement.

On the 10th, Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces, dives into the dark waters of Scorpio for just over a year. This will be significant for you since Jupiter not only serve as the traditional ruler of Pisces, but will also be forming a supportive trine to your sign. Jupiter is considered to be the great benefactor, and usually brings some form of expansion in our lives. I like to think of Jupiter as the Yes man/woman. One important thing to remember about Jupiter’s upcoming transit in Scorpio is that you will have to actively participate in your growth in order to benefit from its bounty. It won’t be enough to wait for Jupiter to shower you with blessings; new opportunities will present themselves when you venture out of your comfort zone. Jupiter’s entry into Scorpio this month signals the beginning of an exploratory phase for you. With your gaze on the horizon, set your sail for the open sea and be prepared to travel in uncharted territory. This territory could be literal, or it could also have to do with yourself and other people’s psychological landscapes. You will have plenty of opportunities to understand intimacy and the power behind your interactions this year and you will definitely not content yourself with superficialities. Don’t be surprise if you find yourself digging deeper, fascinated by what is hidden and mysterious.

The New Moon in Libra on the 19th is your checkpoint around the ongoing themes of fairness, compromise and the ability to find the right equilibrium between your personal needs versus exterior demands. It is time to negotiate your agreements and contracts with others although, a compromising attitude might not be easy to find; you might feel like everyone is out for themselves and you are probably right. Your ability to remain open and flexible while moving with the changes operating in your life is your winning strategy. A diplomatic stance will definitely get you further than a combative one, and you might not see the immediate results of a long negotiation process. Peaceful resolution will be found after each party is allowed more freedom. An agreement can be reached, but not before careful and patient deliberations. Keep that in mind while you navigate the month of October and you will be surprise at how much you can accomplish.

ARIES/ARIES RISING ♈︎

This summer was an exciting one for you my dear Aries. The last several months were filled with serendipitous encounters and many new things have come into your life. The visibility that comes from being in a leadership role also means you are more exposed; the good bits as well as the darker parts. Here are some questions to begin your quest into the high grounds: Where do you fetch your powers? Are they coming from a contaminated well, or a crystalline spring? If there is any residual gunk at the core of your being inherited from past family dynamic or childhood, this next year will challenge you to meet them.

VIRGO/VIRGO RISING ♍︎

This month, you hold the secret of combining work and pleasure; consider making good use of this time. You will also have plenty of opportunities to refine the way you relate and to access your desires more readily. The push and pull and the mechanic of your needs will be obvious, and it should be easy to ask for what you need. Keep in mind that you will probably not be able to get everything that you want, and you will most likely have to contend with some surprising elements. You can only control your own reactions in regards to a situation; you are not responsible for someone else’s mess. If you feel like you are being dragged down or depleted by someone else’s dilemmas you probably are. Trust your intuition and re-establish the boundaries that will help you stay level-headed and productive. Remember that before caring for others you must care for your own basic needs. Even though you might be tempted to sacrifice parts of yourself for the people you love remember where that has led you in the past. You need to insure your own health, your own sanity, and solidity before taking on a burden that is not even yours in the first place.

Do not readily dismiss the far-fetched ideas that pops into your mind at this time; write them down. Even though it is a good practice to keep a sense of proportion, it is not by staying in the limiting walls of conformity that we innovate. Following your inspiration could prove to be a lucrative business if you play your cards right. The correct measure of imagination and pragmatism is what you need to reinvent a money-making venture or simply to refresh the existing ones. The New Moon in Libra on the 26 of October invites you to write your own recipe for success. It should at least include one-part revolutionary ideas and one-part confidence in your ability to sustain yourself. Metamorphosis is hard work, but you are already halfway through the process and you can’t stop now.

On what astrology can and cannot do.

ancient-zodiac

Astrology is a language and a tool and like any other tools it helps us get the job done but it doesn’t actually do the job for us. Efforts are required to understand yourself and change your life. Astrology can help us understand the various processes and cycles we are going through like periods of growth, consolidation, transformation, new beginnings and endings which are all part of life. It also gives us clues as to how one might react to life’s challenges. This awareness can help us make better decisions or even just cope with the processes.

Astrology will not give you a direct miracle cure. You have to brew that yourself. You have to be willing to put in the hours and reflect on your condition and go to the roots of why you react or do things a certain way. You have to lift the weights yourself and make the proper adjustment to bring about the changes that you want. It takes a lot of courage to take responsibilities for yourself. But no one and nothing else can do that for you.

(Those are my thoughts for now but that might change)

The Moon is in Taurus for the next few days with almost nothing in its way except for a sextile from the planets in Pisces and a trine from Pluto.

It’s a good time to take a breather and rest from the intensity of the last few weeks. A good opportunity to reset, take care of your body and relax your mind. Slow down your pace and indulge a little. A good meal, a nice massage and a walk in nature can work miracles.

The Moon in Taurus will sextile Mercury, the Sun and Neptune in the sign of Pisces later today. This is a nice imaginative aspect that can help us find concrete ways to realize our visions.

Self-indulgence is very likely under theses aspects and we could be tempted to completely surrender to our cravings. Since Venus (the planet of pleasures) is just about ready to turn retrograde it is best to find a balance approach.

To work the next few days to your advantage, make sure your indulgence are restorative. Release stress with bodywork and nourishing meals and make the pleasure last.
